How to Install Your Theme

The steps below work for any of our themes.

There are two main ways to install and activate your theme:

Via WordPress Dashboard (Recommended)

This is the easiest method, and the one we recommend for most users:

1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Appearance > Themes.
2. Click the Add New button at the top.
3. Click Upload Theme.
4. Select the downloaded .zip file of the theme from your computer.
5. Click Install.
6. After installation finishes, click Activate.

Via FTP

If you can’t install through the dashboard for any reason, you can use FTP instead:

1. Unzip the downloaded theme archive on your computer.
2. Connect to your server using an FTP client.
3. Navigate to the /wp-content/themes/ directory.
4. Upload the unzipped theme folder there.
5. Go back to your WordPress dashboard and activate the theme under Appearance > Themes.

Activation

After activating your theme, you’ll need to enter the license key that was emailed to you.

Where to enter your license key:

• Yelly — Settings > Yelly
• Root — Settings > Root
• Cook It — Settings > Theme Settings
• JournalX — Settings > Theme Settings
• Reboot — Settings > Theme Settings
