Step 3: Final touches
After importing the theme settings, you’ll need to configure your menus and widgets manually:
- To set up your menu, go to Appearance > Menus, create or select a menu, and assign it to a display location at the bottom of the page.
- The Reboot demo footers use widget areas. To recreate this:
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Blocks > Footer.
- Set the number of footer widget columns you want using the “Number of widget blocks” field.
- Then go to Appearance > Widgets and add content to each footer block.
- To add custom HTML or text, use the HTML or Text widget in the footer area.
- To add a menu to your footer, use the Navigation Menu widget and select the desired menu in its settings.
- To display a multi-column footer menu, use multiple Navigation Menu widgets in different footer blocks.
- To add social media icons, use the Social Media widget in the footer.
- You can set your social profile links in Appearance > Customize > Modules > Social Profiles.
- To show posts with thumbnails in the sidebar, use the Posts Widget.
